Our commitments:   Tradition, Innovation, and Responsibility.

Driven for 150 years by a relentless quest for quality, Rougié places respect for its producers, employees, animals and territories at the heart of its commitment.

1

We are perpetuating and developing the French fattened duck sector.

We support the entire sector, especially its essential link: the producers.

By supporting 389 family farms in the Southwest and Atlantic West, and bringing together more than 1,200 collaborators in France and internationally, we guarantee fair payment to farmers and constant proximity to each actor.

This cooperative model strengthens the vitality of territories and boosts the local economy.

Even better: it allows us to optimize every step of production to ensure quality and consistency in the foie gras you use daily.

We ensure the well-being of our animals.

All our breeders adhere to the “PalmiGconfiance” program and follow strict practices in animal welfare, hygiene, biosecurity, and environmental requirements.

Thus, our ducks benefit from farming conditions in harmony with nature. They have access to vast green spaces. Their bedding is frequently renewed and they enjoy fresh water that is regularly analyzed. Their diet, varied, based on 100% French cereals without GMOs, is specially designed to ensure optimal development.

And to offer you impeccable quality in every preparation, we offer fresh foie gras and magrets guaranteed antibiotic-free since 2014.

3

We adopt an innovative approach based on fundamental research.

To ensure consistent quality, we deploy an integrated approach and intervene at every step. From the egg to the final product, our research team monitors the animal throughout its life to understand how farming, feeding, and well-being affect product uniformity and its rich taste.

We are reducing our carbon footprint.

Sustainable development responds to an ever-increasing general demand. That’s why we strive every day to reduce our carbon footprint and offer you ever more environmentally friendly products.

Specifically? Since 2022, with the help of GreenFlex, we have identified ways to improve our practices, and in 2024, we joined the ADEME “Step by Step Act” program to certify our progress.

We promote renewable energies.

In 2022, we launched an ambitious agroforestry program in our Southwest farms. The goal: to provide a natural and beneficial environment for animals by planting 50 trees per hectare and hedges, thus restoring shelters for biodiversity.

We are developing the circular economy.

We recover 97% of the waste from our workshops and also reduce our packaging to be 100% recyclable by 2030, while promoting local sourcing and eco-design practices that are increasingly environmentally friendly (eliminating plastic, creating recyclable materials, reusing, recycling, and reducing packaging).

We are preserving our water resources.

We constantly limit our water consumption and minimize the impact of our discharges. Our medium-term goal: to identify all recycling opportunities for water in our workshops.

Thanks to these actions, you assure your customers that the products you offer meet strict sustainability standards.
